COMPASSIONATE. SKILLED. FUN.
Meet Dr. Nicole Oparaeke
Board Certified Pediatric Dentist in Chicago
Dr. Nicole Oparaeke grew up in Texas and wanted to be a dentist ever since middle school (strange, I know!). She then began to travel around the country for higher education at multiple Ivy League institutions. After completing her undergraduate degree at the prestigious Columbia University in New York City, Dr. Oparaeke earned her dental degree at Harvard University – the most selective dental school in the United States. During her time in dental school, Dr. Oparaeke decided to turn her passion for working with kids into her career. She left her snow boots behind and completed a pediatric dental residency at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego with NYU Langone Health.
After getting married and working as a board certified pediatric dentist in California and Michigan, Dr. Oparaeke now calls Chicago home. Her husband is a Chicago native and together they enjoy exploring the great city of Chicago, going to church, playing games, and eating Ricobene’s with their children.
Dr. Oparaeke is an active member of numerous national and local societies including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society. Her desire to help children achieve their healthiest smile and foster a delightful, positive experience with their oral health gives Dr. Oparaeke the most fulfilling career she can imagine.

Why choose a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist?
Pediatric dentists complete 2-3 additional years of training after dental school in order to provide the best care for pediatric patients. The rigorous training includes serving children with complex medical histories and special needs, general anesthesia and moderate sedation experience, and education in advanced behavior management techniques. Pediatric dentists know the importance of helping children develop a positive relationship with their dentist that will set them up for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
Dr. Oparaeke went above and beyond her specialty training in order to become board certified. She passed a rigorous written and oral examination conducted by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and renews her certification annually in order to maintain her status. She works hard to make sure that your child has the best care from their first adorable tooth onwards.
After many years of training and dedication, it continues to be Dr. Oparaeke’s joy and privilege to serve every patient that walks through the doors of her practice. She takes tremendous pride in providing the highest quality of care, building a long-lasting relationship with families, and creating an exceptional experience for patients. She looks forward to being your pediatric dentist!
