Meet Dr. Nicole Oparaeke

Board Certified Pediatric Dentist in Chicago

Dr. Nicole Oparaeke grew up in Texas and wanted to be a dentist ever since middle school (strange, I know!). She then began to travel around the country for higher education at multiple Ivy League institutions. After completing her undergraduate degree at the prestigious Columbia University in New York City, Dr. Oparaeke earned her dental degree at Harvard University – the most selective dental school in the United States. During her time in dental school, Dr. Oparaeke decided to turn her passion for working with kids into her career. She left her snow boots behind and completed a pediatric dental residency at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego with NYU Langone Health.

After getting married and working as a board certified pediatric dentist in California and Michigan, Dr. Oparaeke now calls Chicago home. Her husband is a Chicago native and together they enjoy exploring the great city of Chicago, going to church, playing games, and eating Ricobene’s with their children.

Dr. Oparaeke is an active member of numerous national and local societies including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society. Her desire to help children achieve their healthiest smile and foster a delightful, positive experience with their oral health gives Dr. Oparaeke the most fulfilling career she can imagine.

“As a pediatric dentist, I strive to help each child develop lifelong positive attitudes toward oral health. I provide compassionate dental care and love building special relationships with each of my patients and their families. My background working with underserved populations through community health centers coupled with my years in private practice has enabled me to give the best care to children of all ages and with varied levels of dental health. I eagerly await meeting you for a fun and fulfilling experience!”
